My first ICT is almost coming to an end, on the 30th June to be exact... My bank account's fatter by $314.43, not too bad for 16 days of work, if you could count slacking and reading FHM as work, hahaha... Still, for the occasionally feel-like-signing-on mad me, it took some time adjusting back to the military regime, like carrying my rifle (oohh it feels so damn heavy, almost feels like holding a gpmg), doing fire movements (they make me prone and now my uniform's dirty!!! and they make me run up the f**king hill!!!) and waking up at ungodly hours to do duty... muahaha... i mean, ask me to do all these back during my active NSF days, i swear i can get high... hahaha... no lah, i mean i won't curse and swear lah... but now i'm so accustomed to civilian life, which i am pretty darn sure almost everyone i know is, that if u ask me to sign on straight after i graduate, i would have serious reservations about it... its not that i feel any significance has been lost in it, but rather the feeling of giving up everything the outside world has to offer... its just too tempting... Well, to be fair, as with any job, it takes time to adapt to a whole new environment... So, the idea's not entirely lost on me... yet. Interesting though, is how yandao i look in my reservist security pass. I was waaayyy fatter during my NSF days... lazy to scan my old pass lah, but then again there's no need to revisit the past when the present and future is so much brighter... hahaha... the discipline and dedication shown in frequent nightly ahem! 8km runs to keep fit has definitely paid off... B.I.G time baby... WOO!!!

This is how my latest IPPT score reads:

Standing broad jump: 207 cm
Sit ups: 40
Shuttle Run: 10.45sec
Pull-ups: 3

2.4km Run: 11:35 to 12:00mins

Result: FAIL

Cheese pratas and plasters washed down with teh tarik is VERY sinful!!!

Say "NO" to vanilla coke, say "NO" to snacking right after dinner, say "NO" to gaining calories faster than you lose them by eating junk food RIGHT AFTER a 8km run and finally, say "NO" again to late night suppers!!!

1st day of ICT... damnnit not a single soul i know of. Most of the people are at least a good 5 years older than me, which makes me very young by comparison... hahaha... just when i resigned myself to training with these 'uncles', a familiar face from my batch came in, well not exactly, cos' this guy's from another platoon but we knew each other lah, so it was not too bad... plus i'm so approachable... hahaha...

Anyway, reservist training was definetely more relaxed than active nsf.. the reservist flight i'm in is certainly full of interesting characters... i think... especially when you have a hokkien peng warrant for your training officer who gave lectures in halting english peppered with hokkien words here and there... so imagine the ruckus he caused when a supposed proper lesson on section fire movement was vividly brought to life when he suddenly referred to the beheading of an american civilian by muslim extremists inserted with words like 'kannina'... damn funny i tell you... it seems to me that if you don't understand hokkien, you wouldn't be expected to mingle well with the people over there, at least for the older generation of soldiers i think... It was also thanks to this encik that got my precious hair sniped... idiot... forced me to pay 4 bucks for a minute's work which got my layered hair cut into slope and the sides trimmed... oh my gawd... i think i look like shiitt now... don't ask me to go out until my hair grows back... hahaha...

Shucks, gotta log off now... have to sleep early cos' i've got IPPT early tomorrow morning... 2nd day ONLY!!!! wah liew... shouldn't have pushed myself too hard in training last week... now don't even have time to recover... gone case tomorrow... neh neh...

My hands were trembling when i clicked the results button today... after all, i had failed one of my major assignments for one of my modules... But the fear was unfounded, i had passed that particular module and did better than expected overall. I was a nervous wreck the past week, even though i didn't show it cos' it costs more than 1k for retaking a module... there's looking forward to the next semester and the upcoming on-campus visit to RMIT at the end of the year, oh yeah... wouldn't that be some trip... imagine living together with your friends and finding out their worst behaviour... hahaha... And i can finally clear up my desk of the stacks of lecture notes knowing that i won't be needing them next semester... i never felt more relieved...

Extreme makeover for my personal space on cyberspace, hahaha... was initially dumbfounded by the massive texts of html codes in the new template, but it didn't take the genius in me long before i figured out every single damn thing i need to know... thought the color combination would be easy on the eye, so... there it is... what's the verdict peeps?

Yeah yeah photo whore...

Mr Narcissist... No lah... you think i'm so 'hiao' meh?? I need to put up this picture in order for me to html to my profile picture lah...
