Merry X'mas 2007 to all!!!

Hohoho!!!

Today's Christmas eve. I hope everyone's in the festive mood!
I wanna take this opportunity to thank all the people who took that effort, no matter how small they may seem, to wish me merry x'mas. I would prefer to think: small on action but big on significance - Its the thought that counts afterall!

To all my wonderful friends whom I've made in my 26 years of earthly existence, and still keeping regular contact & strong bonds, may the friendship continue to grow by leaps & bounds! You guys made me the person I am today, and I hope my antics will continue to keep you entertained for years to come (at the expense of my dignity). HAHA.

Crap, why am I even writing all these sappy stuffs? Damn gay lah!!!

On a side note, got my gf a LV namecard holder for this x'mas. I must say I simply cannot comprehend how f***ing expensive this shit is, and why all girls go gaga-goo-ga over it. Give me my Nike or Adidas anytime loh! When I took out my card to pay for it, I think I felt a tear rolled down my cheek. Guess I had to eat grass for the next few months. HAHA.

And then when I handed it over to her, I said something to the extent of "Okay now you got the LV, don't care you must marry me now". Something hard hit me (I think it was her Coach bag) on my head, and I forgot everything I said. Yeah right.

Conclusion? I don't think my gf is so stupid afterall! OOPPSSS! :P

Malaysia BOLEH!!!!

Read the ST and couldn't help but chuckle at how the Malaysian legal team contesting for the right to claim back Pedra Branca from Singapore actually made a fool out of themselves. They had to resort to absolutely laughable trickeries like enlarging the mountain at the backdrop of the island to subtly convince the judge into believing it is really at the backyard of Malaysia. Somemore, they take from a doubtful random source also. Waahh champion lah, how to win the case like that? Even local malaysian bloggers also smacked their forehead in disgust at how amateur their legal team is, and how they can commit such a glaring error.

Malaysia BOLEH!!! But I still love Malaysia nonetheless. =P

Wearing my no.4 again!

If you guys have not already know, I'm currently back in camp for my ICT. Actually it already started since 5th Nov, and it will end tomorrow on the 23rd Nov. And then, it is back to the drudgery of work. Ahhh... how I wish it won't end so soon. Life's dammnn good man. Hehehe. On a sidenote, I took my IPPT yesterday, and man! it was damn siong lah!

But, just to share my results with you guys... hehe

Situps: 38
SBJ: 207
Pull-ups: 4
Shuttlerun: 10.4 secs
2.4km run: 12:48mins

Yah lah, I failed (again) running by a miserly 8 secs. Not bad for someone who piled on 7kgs since last year liao hor! I can still run faster than some people lor... *hint hint*

Looking on the bright side of things, failing IPPT means I just have to train more regularly before my window closes next year on my birthday. Which means no excuse not to jog to keep fit, as opposed to if I were to pass my IPPT this time round!

On the first year of couplehood

Yeah, happy first year anniversary! hope there are many more anniversaries to come!

Looking back, of cos there are ups & downs in this relationship.

It's all part of growing up, entering a new phase in your life.

I'm still learning... learning how to accept another person in my life after being single for so long.

I've also learnt never to change someone, you accept her for who she is.

Likewise, she must accept me for who I am.

Because by changing that person, it makes him/her less of the person whom you have fallen in love with from the start.

So, there is only compromise in a relationship, nothing else.

But, will I be practising what I preach?

Hmmm.... Good question.

On couplehood...

Happy 10th month anniversary!

And what a way to spend it...

Cameron Highlands pics UP!

Heh heh heh. Finally the Cameron pics are up. You can find them all in my flickr account here. Or see the link on your right.

I had took a 1-day leave to make it a super long weekend last week. That enabled me to make the ass-numbing ride 640km up north to Cameron highlands. And back. Total: ~1,280km. *faints*

Just to document my historic moment (furthest I've ever rode up north), here are the milestones:

9th Aug 2007 (Thursday):
05:30 Set off from home
06:30 Arrive Gelang Patah ESSO (meetup with James)
07:30 Finally set off after quick briefing
09:30 Ayer Keroh R&R (breakfast-nasi goreng)
11:00 Sungei Buloh R&R (Lunch-Dunkin' donuts)
13:00 Tapah R&R (Rest+Refuel)
15:30 Reach Brinchang town, Cameron highlands.
16:30 Settled into Chua Gin hotel
18:00 Steamboat dinner at OK TUCK restaurant
Evening: Retired for early night.

10th Aug 2007 (Friday):
08:30 Push motorbike out from hotel
09:00 Breakfast at Tanah Ratta town (Indian naan & curry)
10:00 Bharat tea plantation
11:00 "BOH" tea plantation
13:30 Healthy Strawberry Farm (strawberries & popsicles)
14:30 Rose Valley
16:00 Tea-break at Raju restaurant (Tea & Scones)
16:30 Walking & eating junk food at entrance of Rose Valley
17:00 Ascent Gunung Brinchang, highest summit in Cameron highlands
19:30 Descent back to Brinchang town
21:00 Pasar Malam (dinner/supper)
23:00 Retire for the day

11th Aug 2007 (Saturday):
08:30 Push motorbike out of hotel
09:00 Breakfast at local kopithiam (curry chicken noodles + roti canai)
11:00 Set off back to Singapore from Brinchang
11:30 Parted ways with James at Simpang pulai exit
12:30 Tapah R&R (refuel)
14:30 Sungei Buloh R&R (refuel)
16:30 Ayer Keroh R&R (refuel)
17:30 JB causeway Caltex (refuel)
17:45 U-turn for not registering with BIKES at customs (fcuk!)
18:30 Woodlands checkpoint
19:00 HOME! finally! (just in time for dad's birthday dinner!)

Enjoyed myself plenty during this trip, especially with all the corners and nice winding roads of Cameron highlands! Also had a few scares, especially during the ascent up Gunung Brinchang. But it was all worth it once you see the view up there...

It was fcukin' awesome.

But I'm not gonna go back there again until somebody does something about the treacherous roads up there.

Touring long distance on my bike gives me a different feeling one cannot get just by driving in a car. True, it has its inherent risks but I would say there are just as much risk in driving a car. In the words of Burt Munro: "...You live more in 5 minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime"

Respect da' man.

Thailand next, anyone? =P

Fireworks into Singaporean's asses

Damn fed-up just now. When I was driving back to office after dinner, there was like a super huge jam leading into church street (near raffles place). And so after reaching collyer quay road, the jam cumulated into one big fucking orgy of cars. Yes, I finally realised what the fuck was going on.

Fireworks display at Marina bay area.

And yes, the fucking jam is caused by fucking inconsiderate Stinkaporeans who bloody cheebye selfishly park their shiny 4 wheelers (some with entire family in tow) along 2 lanes of the 4 laned road! and poor folks like us who have no fucking interest in some lameass display of fireworks had to wait fucking 45min just to clear the 200m stretch of road leading into my office!!!

The more I wait, the more dulan I felt. And questions flooded my mind.

Are we Stinkaporeans that fucking no-life? That just a display of fireworks and you have to drive all the way from Jurong just to join in the fucking madness and to catch that 15min display of pop- pop-poop-whatever?! Also bring your ah gong and ah ma in their pyjamas and pillows??!

No shit.

It's like gypsy style caravan. Next thing you know, you see them cooking instant noodles on their car bonnet. Total idiocracy. I cannot fucking understand. If you want to see the fireworks, go park properly, and walk to get a nice view! and for fuck's sake, don't ever step out in your pjs. PUHLEASE! You'll save yourself plenty of embarassment in the eyes of the ang moh from abroad.

Actually it all boils down to the fact Singaporeans are a bloody inconsiderate lot. Only care for themselves... at the expense of others. Still can wow wow wee wee with a fucking great wall of cars behind you waiting to go back home to rest. Smelly cheebye! Fuck! I cannot stop swearing!

Ok I feel much better now.

Shall post the cameron pictures soon! =D

A dream so close, yet so far...

As the title suggests, it's a dream that seems so close, but yet so far away.
This baby is just dying for me to ride her! Pictures were taken at Honda Boon Siew showroom when I was there servicing my bike.
I bought a RS Taichi Drybuster raincoat at S$110 (waah... you can really feel the difference lor!) & a Komine armoured mesh jacket for S$170. All these in preparation for my upcoming trip to Cameron highlands! Damn, I'm excited! =P

Justice, my foot!

I have to attend court for the very first time in my life.

No, its not because I stole a lollipop from the local convenience store or stabbed that young punk blasting loud music from his mobile on the bus.
It was more for something rather trivial, and I was bemused by the fact that the judicial system here in sillypore made things a wee bit complicated for my liking.

I had parked my precious bike under my void deck back in Jan 2007. And I got fined by the town council for that, to the amount of S$100. Tried to reply to them it was because I wanted to shelter my bike from the rain, and so I wrote a letter to them and managed to convinced them to waive off the fine. But still, I need to pay "administrative" fee of S$15.75. I was like "WTF?!" You wrote me a letter and you're telling me it friggin' costs $15 bucks??!

Fighting the urge to write another complaint letter, I decided to back off and pay the sum. But I had dragged this until the final reminder letter was sent to me and I finally made payment on 20/June 2007. Fair enough right? I still manage to beat the deadline stipulated on the letter by more than a week.

To my horror, a lawyer's letter was sent to me on 3/July 2007 asking me to attend court for the said offence. I was like :"OMGWTFBBQ?!". But I had the receipt of payment with me as proof. So I called and then made the trip down to subordinate courts to ask them for an explanation. They said it was standard protocol to come down and be "prosecuted". Nabeh limpeh already pay liao still wanna prosecute me, might as well terminator me lah. I grumbled to myself as I left the building.

Resigned to my fate, I made my way down to the subordinate courts again for the court session. Huddled together with so many other people, I had the opportunity to see for myself how a court session operates. Interesting, but only for that few minutes. After that, it was an agonising 30min wait for my turn to be called and charged guilty as stated.

When my name was finally called, I took the stand before the lawyer dude asked me whether have I made the payment or not. I replied with a convincing "YES" and waved the receipt in his face. Then, he turned to the judge and said that I "claimed" that payment was already made. BUT! still have to come back to court again. I dunno wtf happened then, limpeh tio stunned second time. I said I pay already right? and I got the proof in my hands! Why ask me to come again?? for FCUK seriously??? The lawyer dismissed my claim and told me literally to bugger off, with many others in the queue.

Now this is something which I seriously don't understand, or maybe sillypore's laws just work that way. Bo dai bo ji come back song song, even though things are clear for all to see. Just so they can earn more money? and waste limpeh's time?

TELL ME PLEASE!

I is really D-U-L-A-N by all these.

JB Durian hunting trip!

The JB durian hunting trip was fun! Can you imagine the shiok feeling of eating durians without having to pay for it?! Compare it with paying exorbitant money to eat in Singapore, hell! I would pop by across the causeway anytime man! Plus, you just can't beat the thrill of riding through the wind along the highways to get your treasures.

The company of a few like-minded enthusiasts, coupled with good & cheap food and on a durian hunting mission makes for a great way to spend saturdays (next to being with my gf of cos... hehe).

Durians, durians and more durians!!! And since there's no one around, we helped ourselves to the feast!!!

Oishii!!! 3 very satisfied customers. Errm... who do I pay to huh? Mother nature! I give you back the durian seeds! Go forth and multiply! I shall come back here every year!!! hehehe...

We also went to the Pulai waterfalls nearby for some hiking. Damn, I nearly died. It was more like intermediate level rock climbing at certain points. I didn't climb all the way to the top, but my friend did. He's a siao kia. Period.

Finally, dinner at Lam's seafood (again). This time round, only 4 of us. Not the entire whole jing gang. Below's a picture of the place at sunset, which we didn't managed to take the previous round.

Right, that's all folks!!!

Foodie hunt!

Me and my baby have made it a hobby of ours to try to find "highly recommended" places for makan, which largely explains why I've been putting on much weight recently (about 4 kgs extra ever since...).

That particular saturday morning took us to this place in Geylang lor 41. It looks like any ordinary coffee shop, serving coffee & toast that tastes average at best. And there's only 1 shop that opens, selling fishball noodles that tastes sama sama also. Sucky. Somehow, having sucky food makes us particularly grouchy afterwards, and the need to feel compensated by having more food later on. GAH! Which leads us next to Goodwood park hotel for a hi-tea buffet spread... -_-" I admit it was seriously good stuff: almost anything you could've imagined. I've been there once before when Pris (my elder sister) treated us, and I've been wanting to try the food again. Only this time, I can afford to pay for myself and I'm going with my food-lovin' gf.

Watch your pockets though peeps, if you ever want to try this place out. It costs a whoppin' S$40+++/pax but its worth the treat once in a while. Needless to say, we stuffed ourselves so full we had to skip dinner. =D

Taken along the alleys of Geylang: Cats & dogs seems to co-exist peacefully side by side.

I love my Cybershot SE K810i very much!!!!

Interesting India

Taken during the sweltering heatwave in Delhi. 43 friggin' degrees celsius!!! Limpeh once get inside the car is ask driver to full blast the aircon! You repeat this process ten of times in one day, and what you get is... BLOOD IN YOUR MUCUS WHEN YOU SNEEZE!!! OMFG! *Faints*

The India gate - A monument to the war dead. It's located close to where the different government ministries are in New Delhi.

Fancy a dip, anyone? Hehehe...

Very common sight in India when the traffic stops. So lock yer doors, for your own safety. It never pays to be too kind to beggars.
Somehow, I'm fixated to my boss's nose in the picture above... hurhurhur...

I'm starting to appreciate Indian culture & society more, as I try to understand what makes this country the way she is today. It certainly helped that I was a history buff. Nevermind that people say India is a run-down country and underdeveloped, and that there's always a funny smell that lingers in the air. I, for one, certainly wouldn't mind at all. Throw me into the depths, I will show you I can make it! 5.5hrs of flight time will be worth every minute. In fact, I look forward every business trip to India with great relish and anticipation. Everytime I go, I learn something new - things that would enable me to become a more knowledgeable person, and eventually a more effective salesman.

If I have the time, I'll try to pick up a book on the great Indian diaspora... (yeah, right)

And Oh! I met the Taiwan politician Ma Ying Jeou on the way back from Delhi to Singapore. He was on the same overnight flight as me! Only difference is: he sit business class and I sit economy. But still, its not everyday that you get to sit on the same plane with someone famous! Hehe...

Cruel son of b!tches

Took the straits time along today during my routine daily morning dump. I flipped the pages and my eyes were fixed on the front page of the HOME section - which reported another of those motorcycle accidents. Not exactly the kind of news that would appeal to bikers or their loved ones. My baby just happened to read that, and it didn't exactly endeared her to the fact that her boyfriend is a motorcycle enthusiast. Well, she was against the idea of me riding from the beginning anyways.

Back to the report, it mentioned that it was just like any other hit and run accident, except that the perpetrators were a bunch of heartless and cruel muthafukkaas. Fucker #1 performed an illegal U-turn, knocked down the doting father of two. He did not stop, instead proceed to drop off a passenger first before being hunted down by a witness, and then he lan lan have to return to the scene. What da fuck man rite? Whats with the nonchalant attitude??!

That was not all loh, Fucker #2 came into the picture when the fucking expensive mercedes she was driving in run the poor fella over as the biker was trying to get up from the initial impact. She was on her way to fetch the husband from the airport. Yeah, she knew exactly what happened and I suppose it was waaayyy less important saving a life than making sure her husband doesn't have to wait one extra minute for her. Such fucking cheebyes these people can be. I really think their heart or conscience got eaten up by some rabid infected stray dogs or what. FYI, she only confessed after being summoned by the TP 8 fucking days later, from which her car no. was given by a witness who pursued her but didn't managed to get her to go down and help.

What has the world come to, with all these cheebye people driving around on our roads? Are we ever safe from them? And if we get knocked down, will we be rendered immediate assistance or run over like a worthless piece of rag? Such cruelty and heartlessness. Please burn them in hell for eternity for God's sake, we don't need these pieces of shit around us.

Road trip + Beach rendezvous!

Had a pretty eventful long weekend. I literally had to drag myself to work this morning. And to think that just yesterday, I was in paradise, waking up to the georgous beach view and the inviting morning sunshine which beckons me and my baby to take a stroll along the beach, before having breakfast at the rooftop terrace that overlooks the straits of malacca.

Here are some pics...

Left: Cascading waterfalls greet you once you step into the resort.

Right: Enjoying coffee... and the wonderful view in front of us...

And look at that, a staircase leading up to your very own private jacuzzi! Ultimate privacy man, and at your usage at anytime! WIKKID!!!

Left: Just a few steps and you're there!

Below: Voila! Jacuzzi!!! And a view to die for!

Of course good things don't come cheap. This garden roof suite costs a whopping S$490/night. But for off-peak, it's only S$300/night. Cool... But then again, for that sum of money, I'll rather go places like Bintan/Batam loh... Neh mind, that shall be my next target...

Also, some photos from saturday's road trip to Pulai waterfalls in JB, on a Saturday where my poor baby has to work and I have (no choice) but to go find my biking kakis! Hehe...

Just look at the insane no. of bikers joining for this trip! 15 bikes + 21 riders/pillions!!! Overall, it was pretty OK. Had a lil' mishap, hurt my ankle but should be fine. The food & ciggies were like dirt cheap and we ended off the day trip by having dinner at this seafood restaurant that overlooks the Singapore Sungei Buloh nature reserve site.

Me and my bikey! Trusty ol' CB400. Mileage less than 9,000km. In pristine running condition. View to believe!!! =P

Left: Cheap seafood makes us Singaporeans a very happy bunch of people indeed... *BURRRPPP*

Pity we arrived there late due to the sudden downpour at Pulai waterfalls, or else I could have captured some pictures of the place at sunset. It will be quite a sight to reckon with, me thinks.

Weekend to look forward to!

Today officially marks the start of my suuppperrr long weekends, all the way to June 5th Tuesday! And the best part is, my baby's taking leave with me as well! There will be a weekend rendezvous at a secret beach resort somewhere in Singapore (no, not NTUC pasir ris chalet damnnit!). Me thinks both of us is gonna like it and its gonna be scchhwweetttt!

By the way, thanks to Buddha I got to sleep until 10am today. Feeling damn shiok lah! Now all recharged and ready to go!!! Hehehe...

Happy vesak day, folks!

P.S I'm still very much in love with my SE K810i... and my baby of course! *Awwwww*

ALL HAIL THE SONY ERICSSON K810i

Heh. Finally got rid of my Samsung X820 ultra edition 6.9 for a paltry sum of S$120. I only had it for like less than a year, and look how the phone value dropped (even faster than my pants when I have to take a hugeass crap! HAHA!!!). Oh well, better than nothing. That phone lacked the punch where the styling and looks had promised so much, but failed to deliver where it mattered the most - functionality and battery life. The latter was the final straw which had me throwing up my hands in resignation over what could possibly be done over it. That was when I saw this baby - The Sony Ericsson K810i in the sony mid-year catalogue.

There was to be a promotional S$200 off the U.P. of US$568 for a limited time only! I wasted no time in deciding that I had to trash my X820 for this baby. Thus, I am happy to say now that I'm a proud owner of this gem of a phone, even though I had it for less than 2 days. =D

Anyways haven't been blogging for a while now cos' of work. Just wanna let you guys know that I'm in great (round) shape from the nourishing of love. *blush* Everything's looking up now, and it can only get better!!!

Busy 2 weeks ahead

Things are gonna get busier. A look at my schedule for the coming 2 weeks...

18th ~ 21st April 2007: Shanghai/Suzhou (Global meeting)

I miss Shanghai! Finally got the chance to go back there again! But I don't think I have the time to meet up with Uncle Jerry over there...

I'll arrive back in Singapore on Saturday 2pm. Then I'll have slightly over a day to spend with my baby then its off to India again on sunday night 22nd April.

22nd ~ 26th April 2007: India (Customer visit)

There will be 2 places to visit this time round. Pune & Bangalore. The ease in which I can easily memorize their geographical location and plan my trips between this 2 places shows how well I know India. I just hope they don't post me there permanently!!! Hehe. *sweat*

End of ICT!

Okay, so today concludes my ICT #3.

3 weeks of heavenly bliss. 3 full meals a day (and sometimes more). 3 trips per day down to the stall selling potato chips/mars bar/coke. 3 hours and more of your own exclusive free time to do the things you normally won't do at home (like watching 1pm news on channel 8). Hehehe...

Fret not! Another one's coming up in September this year. WOOoo!!! Basket lah, how can my work tahan another ICT this year??? I got shitloads of work to clear, and plenty of stuffs to followup loh! But then hor, I must admit life in the army is quite shiok lah... All you have to do is eat, sleep, shit and do duty. And you even have your own time to do whatever you like! Can I do that when I get back to work??! No man!!! Time to fart also don't have lorzz! OMGWTF!

Looking at those regulars in the army, boy am I glad they rejected me or what?! 10am many still at the canteen eating char beehoon and lim kopi. So this is where us taxpayers' money goes... into the canteen uncle and auntie's pocket!!! hehehe!!!

I think I will have a difficult time adjusting back from the nua-ness of army life back to the hectic corporate workplace. And it certainly doesn't help coming friday's a holiday loh! damn disruptive to work! But nehmind! I bring work home to do!!! AS IF!!!! Wahahaha...

Better sleep early tonight. Tomorrow go offit early early show face and tell boss I is very the hardworking. MUAHAHAHA!!!

In-camp training

Dear folks, I'll be serving my call of duty with the band of brothers from FDS at PLAB from 12th March to 3rd April 2007. However, I am still ontactable with civilisation itself. Hehe. This will be ICT #3. #4 coming up in September 2007! Whoa. On a sad note, I failed my IPPT (new window).

Chin-ups: 7
Shuttle run: 10.6 secs
SBJ: 212cm
Situps: 39
2.4KM run: 12:44 min

Result: FAIL

So damn demoralised. I never failed 2.4km run before in my entire life, after entering the army that is. Anyways, I think I cannot do morning runs lah, feel damn lethargic. Or was it the fag I had just before the run? Or was it due to fact that I've become phaaaatt!?

Never mind, I've got a whole year ahead of me... no worry, be happy!

Return from Malacca/Port Dickson!

Wah, its been weeks since I came back from my bike trip. Didn't really have the chance to sit down and blog about it. I'm damn busy man now lah... hahaha!

I left behind my baby in SG to go on this trip, she was naturally concerned about me and we paid a visit to the famous "see-bay-loh" guanyin temple the day before. Appreciate her thoughtfulness but riding has become a hobby of mine, and it's almost near impossible to give it up. Both of us have to compromise on this, I guess.

The trip was incident free, save for one. The notorious malaysian traffic police and their less than honourable reputation for taking money from us poor singaporeans who are only out to have a little adventure ride in their country.

We settled it the usual way, and quickly brushed aside the unhappy incident and proceed to our destination and exploration of the quaint town of port dickson. Looks pretty run down to me, sea-sides aren't that fantastic either. We then headed south to Malacca on Tim's trusty GPS. It was almost evening time when we reached. And then we proceed to have the famous chicken rice balls. Nothing much to shout about either, and price was OK. Wish I could have stayed longer to hang around the night market, which seems to hold quite a fair bit of knick-knacks, and it only happens on friday and weekend nights. Oh well, there's always a next time!

For complete listing of photos, please visit here!

Malacca trip 3rd March 2007

Yippee! I'll be going on my 2nd trip to Malaysia on my trusty Super 4 Bold'Or this coming saturday. It will be more of a challenge compared to the trip to JB last year - which means fatigue will set in at some point given the long distance involved (592km, according to what my fellow biker had calculated using his GPS). Not to mention those aching fingers...

As usual, I will try to put up the pictures after I come back.

Awww... my baby's gonna miss me bad... hahaha! But I promise I'll make it up to you ok?

Like they always say, you can't put a good man (biker) down!

Here's looking at you, the eyes of a VFR800... *drools*

SOOOooooo tempting!!!!

Class 2 here I come!

Happy 26th birthday to me!

A year older, 26 to be exact.

No celebrations, except for the one with the guys earlier in the week. It was a combined dinner for Doong's birthday as well, but it was nice to see everyone gathered together for some serious steamboat buffet-fest! I got a Calvin Klein underwear and a Ashworth Polo T from the folks. Thanks guys!

This year, my birthday happens to fall on chinese new year eve. Can I see myself getting twice the no. of ang pows? Hehehe...

Everything's going good for me so far. I have no special request for my birthday wish except to wish my loved ones in the pink of health always and smooth sailing days ahead for all!

Reunion Dinner

There was no steamboat style reunion dinner this year. It was the first time (if I never remembered wrongly). My mum would always do the food preparation because she's the best cook in the extended family (and the reason why I'm so phat). This year was no different, except she had less things to prepare. Still, reunion dinner was good. At least something new.

I found out my cousin just got himself a bike license. He's riding a Piaggio X8 right now. KEWL. After the dinner, we hit the roads and made our way to Yishun dam where we chatted for quite a while on what happened in each other's life. Even though we're cousins, but this is the first time we actually had the chance to sit down quietly and talk, so its good for bonding relationships again.

Yeah, thats pretty much it. Will update again. =D

Valentine's Day

Love is in the air. =D

I'm a willing victim of the St. Valentine's merciless commercialization created by the money grubbing capitalists of today's society.

Having said that, today is just another ordinary day. I've always believed you've gotta be consistent in how you treat your other half, not just on V-day only.

Ladies, if you've been treated extra nicely, chances are your guy's done something wrong and this is his way of making things up to make himself feel better. Heh.

Tips on how to be desperate

Today I found out that the most popular way to get hold of a long-lost female contact no. was by saying:"Hey I misplaced my mobile phone, what was your no. again?"

Like real! My big fat kar chng ok! More like you don't stand a chance last time/she rejected you and you proceed to delete her no. from your mobile. Now you met her by chance, feel gian and decide to try your luck again right?

N-A-B-E-H

Some guys can be such desperados...

Sorry that was the green eyed monster himself. I wouldn't have talked in that manner.

Wedding bliss

The past 2 saturdays were the ROM and wedding dinner of 2 of my closest friends from SIM. Oh well, here are some pictures to feast your eyes on. Anyways, its been quite some time since I last put up any pictures on my blog, so there you go... To the 2 happy couples!

First was on Saturday, 20th Jan 2007. Jonathan and Jasmine's ROM date. It was also intentionally planned to fall on Jasmine's birthday as well. It was a simple but yet sweet solemnization ceremony that was followed by a 9 course lunch.

Happy people!

On the following saturday 27th Jan 2007, it was Zhiwei's turn to be the star of the show - The much awaited wedding dinner was held at Grandplaza parkroyal hotel and they played host to tens of tables from army friends to relatives. A big congrats to the married couple Zhiwei & Suet Lay!

Alex and GF Siqi weren't in the picture because they're late and also, because there were too many people, we couldn't grab hold of a picture with the married couple together. I only managed to catch hold of the nerdy boy himself. Don't see him outside guai guai, far from it loh! There's an inner beast waiting to be unleashed! For the very first time, I or rather we find Zhiwei quite dashing in that suit and funky hair do of his. HA! But I still think I is more yandaoz. =P

I suspect more people are starting to throw red bombs as the months and years gone by. Mid 20s seems to be the ripe age to get hitched, it appears to me. But for me, not in another 4 years before I'm financially stable. BUT! Never say never. Accidents do happen from time to time... NO don't think dirty! Accidents as in accidentally falling in love with your other half and deciding the spend the rest of your life with him/her! Accidents of love! Not bang bang bang, then 2 become 3. Geddit??! Hahaha...

ASEAN Cup 2007 finals

I was watching the Singapore-Thailand match on the tube just now. It was the finals first leg, played at the National Stadium for the last time before it was to be torn down to make way for the new. I had really wanted to catch this game, despite the fact I knew that Singapore soccer was still essentially the same old boring turd. Fcuk it man, why am I born a Singaporean, and not Italian? or French? or Brazilian? haha...

All right I must admit our boys look more like a decent soccer team nowadays under Raddy. But they still suck for being stick-in-the-muds. Like forever knocking the ball high up to Noh Alam Shah who's beginning to look like a bull on rampage/ or headless chicken running. Or say forever playing short corners even though your opponents have already figured out your intention. Sigh, some things never change, but as long as they get the results. Would anyone really care? Case in point: Bolton. Damn physical lah, like our Lions (damn scary).

Today's match was highlighted by a controversy late into the game. Noh Alam Shah was wrongly judged to have been brought down in the penalty box and was subsequently awarded a penalty when it wasn't supposed to be. Video replays confirmed this inevitable truth. But to err is human lah, the referee is not omnipotent lah. So the thais did what was seemingly an unthinkable and "childish" act to some - by walking off the pitch in unison. This got me into a heated debate with my fat ass friend, Doong, who called them crybabies.

I told him to show more respect to the Thais, whom I felt were dealt a grave injustice from the purist footballing point of view. Yes, to walk off the pitch in protest to the referee's decision is wrong. Law by law, we Singaporeans like to say, means die die accept whatever comes your way... just because it is simply... law. When you are in a finals like this, and late into the game, you are dealt with such a cruel blow, how else could you react? Football is a passionate game, and emotions rule the head more than anything else on the pitch. The Thais could not have found a better avenue to protest, had they rather swallow whatever is given to them by the rulebook. They chose to make themselves heard, and to get their point across to the officials, in the faintest hope they renounce the penalty claim. I believe they knew it was inevitable the penalty had to be given, but they have to do something to claim their innocence.

In the end, they reluctantly returned to the pitch and try to stage a comeback after being a goal down. What irked me was not how the Thais made a scene on the pitch, but rather how the Singaporean players celebrated after blasting the ball high into the net for the ill gotten penalty bonus. If I was the Singaporean player and knew that we shouldn't have been awarded it, I would have fcuking blasted it into row Z of the stadium or if I happened to score, celebrate it quietly, instead of punching the air in jubilation. Where has footballing justice gone to? Where is the chivalry of old? and code of ethics?

Where is the beautiful game???

Complimentary on the job!

On a business trip to KL last week, a customer mentioned to me that I looked more matured now as a salesman. It was the best compliment anyone can give to a young upstart like me. One year on, my mouth has become slicker, tone more assured, and definitely more confident in presenting myself in front of people. I could still work on my sales pitch tactics though. Every new people you meet calls for a different set of tactics, and it is always reassuring that you know you have a wide range of arsenal at your disposal - Now that is what I like about being in sales. Having the flexibility and authority to make your own decisions, and of course accepting whatever outcome that is a result of your own doing! You are in the driver's seat and you decide where you wanna go, and how you wanna go about doing it in order to get to your destination.

Now go forth and shine!

First entry of 2007

Since today is the first day of 2007, I just had to type an entry. Heh.

I woke up at 3pm today, head still throbbing from last night's partying. No, actually I was awaken at about 8 in the morning when my fcukedup sister began to scream at my mother for not wanting to bring her to shopping today. I had seriously wanted to kick her in the teeth, and having slept less than 3 full hours, this was the last distraction I wanted to have while I was recuperating.

For some reason (lucky for her), I only dragged myself out of bed, went to close the door and went back to sleep. Somehow, I wanted to kick her in the teeth, but I figured I was too tired. This wasn't the first time this happened, and for Christ's sake, this fcukedup sister of mine doesn't know the meaning of being considerate. She can whine and shout without giving a damn as to whether you are sleeping or not. Like she's the only one fcuking living in this house. Be thankful I haven't lost it yet, or I think I will have to call in the ambulance for her. Just how long I can keep my sanity, its anyone's guess.

Anyways, my sister always like to ask... no, force my mum to go shopping with her because:
  • She has no friends
  • She likes to ask my mum to pay for her stuffs (and not like she's not fcuking earning any money right now loh!)
  • She has no friends (Oh wait, did I mention that already?!)
Seriously, I think nobody likes her. She's sucha biatch and I can't understand how come some people can be so fcukedup - and that person had to be my own sister. She seriously have no friends one loh, and you know what the best part is? She likes to change mobile phones. HA! In all the time I spent at home, I have never heard her handphone rang for more than 5 times in a year. I seriously wonder why she likes to change handphone for, when she knows she's just wasting money. Oh wait wait wait, do you know why I can count the no. of times her phone can ring? Cos' she don't fcuking bring it along even when she goes out!!!

Ultimately it all boils down to: SHE HAS NO FRIENDS. Pathetic social life outside of work, not to mention her social ettiquette skills. Almost zero EQ. To think she was out on christmas eve, I asked mommy which poor soul's so desperate they had to ask my sis out for celebrations. I sniggled at that thought. Or maybe it was some nerdy IT geek who likes to hangout at Sim lim square or the national library that asked her out? I could hardly contain my laughter. I bowled over and almost died trying to suppress it.

If you think I'm such a bastard for bashing my sister on my blog and washing dirty linen in public, then let it be. I've really had it. Those who knew me well enough will know what I'm talking about. For someone to really piss me mr.nice guy off, it really really takes lotsa effort. Maybe I should look on the bright side of things and commend my sis on her effort. It ain't easy, ya know?

What a great entry to start 2007 with!

(p.s pictures of the NYE bash @ Zouk out soon!)
