To eat is bliss?!

Mum was in hospital for the past couple of days. She had to undergo a minor op to have some gall stones removed from her livers. Seems to me like she has to go to the hospital every 2~3 years to perform such surgeries. It has got to do with the stuffs she eats definitely, being a foodie and may I say this, the crap she likes to nibble on at times. As her son, I have to constantly remind the old folks of the need to eat healthy, given the condition they're carrying. But they always wave it off with a nonchalant "aiyah" and then give you the dirty look if you snatch their food away. And when it's obvious something's wrong and they need to see the doc, they will again deny nothing's wrong and everything will heal by themselves. The same way some people think things will just happen when they pray to their God up above. Pure bullshit. Like that might as well stay at home and enjoy life while praying to Le God, no need to do anything also everything will go your way one.

Don't you just hate these kinda people?! Why won't they listen? What makes of sense and logic? and making people worry for them?

Writer's bloc

The owner of this blog is currently suffering from a serious case of writer's bloc. Therefore, he is unable to produce anything worthy of mention (not that there are any to begin with). Life is pretty mundane for the working class. Taking to the skies for work is not a novelty anymore. In fact, it has gotten pretty stale. Maybe it has got to do with the fact that he is mostly travelling to Malaysia. He needs to have more customers in the region, in places like Vietnam, Philippines, China... etc. He is also looking forward to visiting existing customers more often in exotic places like India and South Africa in the near future. Things are looking up in the business scene, hope he can show some results soon!

Down like a sick puppy

I haven't been sick for a long time now and it sure didn't felt good when I got struck down with the common flu. I woke up on friday morning to find myself running a fever and a body aching and weighing like a ton of bricks. It was not helped by the fact that I was out drinking the night before with customers, even though by then I was already having a running nose.

I had to see the doc, the thermometer showed 37.5 degrees celsius and I was diagnosed as having the common flu. Man, it really felt like shit when you're down with sickness. You can't do anything except eat, sleep and laze around while recuperating. So after I called in sick with my MC, I spent the rest of the day fiddling around with my newly acquired iPOD. Actually, I felt much much better today. The fever's subsided, I don't feel cold and I could say 70% back to the pink of health. I really wanted to play soccer tomorrow and maybe blade if I still had the energy. Let's see how things go then...
