To be a brother (pt. I)

Yesterday was to be the first time I became a "brother" - best man for Alex.

I was just a little nervous as I wouldn't really know what to expect. Cos' like I said, this is my first time mah. The day started pretty late at about 8am. And we assembled at Alex's house to go through the day's events & spruce up the bridal cars. To think that got one brother late... haha! Lucky still got enough time. This guy was still sleeping when Alex called him up at 7:30am. Champion. It was only till 9:15am that he finally arrived in his flashy blue Mazda 3. Nicely done up I must say.

And then hor this best man has to double up as chauffeur somemore. So I think the ang pow must stuff more money... hehe. Thus, I led the convoy of cars to fetch the bride at their chalet. Stress. Cannot cock up leh. Upon reaching, the games began liao. But actually they let Alex off a lot already. The customary barging into the main door (got one brother tried to climb window - power) and it was settled with the usual bribe of money (Money does make the world go round!). Ok I expected more of a fightback from the "jie meis" later, but it was not to be. Just asking the groom to say some words in Cantonese, reading out the in-law's names & a grand total of 15 push ups. Easy piece of cake, and the bride was all his! Wah I think I have seen worse! hahaha...

So after some picture taking, we went back to Alex's place for the tea ceremony. Which was then followed by the long awaited buffett lunch for the hungry people. It was almost 12:30pm before we can finally get some breather. Time to recharge for tonight!

And then we had to pack up & load all the stuffs into the car, where we would drive to Hilton hotel for the preparations of the wedding dinner. We blew up helium filled balloons to fill up the ballroom, and I drove back to fetch Alex's parents & most importantly, the bride's headgear! Luckily, just in time for the solemnization at 5pm.

The dinner eventually started (late as usual) at 7:45pm even though it wasn't a big event to begin with. Nice & cosy. Limpeh was the appointed emcee. I had a script, but I figured the more I tried to memorize it, the more I will screw things up. And hor, I had to do everything in chinese lor!! But I feel I did OK, maybe got chance as 2nd career. HAHAHA! Aside from the nervy beginning, I can feel right at ease during the yum seng part where I have to incite some noise from everyone present. For once, I felt I actually learnt something useful from my current job... Joking!!!!

Dinner finally ended at about 10:15pm. As brothers, we waited for all the guests to clear before making our leave. We were dead beat already.

Next week: Round 2 to my dearest Jasmine & Jon.

C-H-A-N-G-E

There's always a first time... to tender your resignation. I was just thinking to myself not to drag on any longer. The longer I drag, the more I hesitate and the more things won't move.

Maybe there's always the fear of the unknown, not helped by the fact that I'm a low risk taker which I think I am. After all, there's always the lingering thought of not doing well in the new job. But must think positive! Let's just put it that way, the money is there for you to take it... IF you are good enough to take it.

So change is inherently good, if you can make it to be. For me, myself & Kenny & everyone else.

Here's to a new beginning!

The month thus far...

Wall.e was sooo cute and it was worth every penny!

The gf & I went to the gym for the first time together today, after deciding she has had enough of her sedentary lifestyle. I was delightfully surprised of cos. As they always say, better late than never!

However, what made me even more surprised was that I had managed to psycho her into sitting on my bike! Finally! That really made my day. I have waited for ages to come! I just couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear. I exercised a bit more caution & safety in my riding today. The rain couldn't stop us either. I was thinking to myself: "Damn! What a time to rain, and on the first time she sat on my bike somemore!" She was a bit hesitant but didn't complain that much, just reminded me to ride slower only.

The best thing about life is for your loved ones to place their entire trust in you, and believing you won't make a big mess of it.

Life is great, well, if its only for a start only... =)

WEEKEND GETAWAY

Me is going Batam from thursday to saturday & I just cannot wait for it to come! :P

Only you, my hardcore supporters, know about it! WOOOOOOO!!!!

NO business calls, limpeh will OFF the bloody company mobile phone & throw into the Batam sea.
NO watches or any form of time, limpeh will use marker shade the whole watch face black.
NO laptop, or any form of electronic entertainment devices, limpeh will dig a hole and bury in the sands.

Of course I'm talking cock lah, in this time and age, technology is so pervasive and when was the last time do you really recall having a real holiday? One where you can just throw time out the window and do the things you never had the chance to do otherwise? I really think 99.9% of you losers out there haven't had one before.

Either you don't have the luxury of time or money. Things people like us can ill afford to waste. In fact, we need more of it. Time to do & complete more activities; money to buy stuffs to satisfy our insatiable needs & wants.

So, when was the last time you did something for the first time?

Happy birthday dad!

Happy 57th birthday dad!!!

His rapidly graying hair, to me it tells of how time flies.
The past it is better forgotten, for I only remember the positive.
At times, he is like a child stuck in an adult's body, which I think I kinda inherited his traits.

Sometimes stubborn, most of the time naggy, but always looking after his brood (us damn kids) well. But to a point it spoilt my sister, and made her the way she is today.

The immature young adult who always left her basic mannerism at home, and quite the social retard I make her out to be. But I can only hope miracles happen, the way pigs can one day fly...

In no way I wanna make this post damn depressing, it was just a reflectance of the upbringing we had under our parents. We owe everything to them, and I for one, cannot stress more about filial piety.

Now that we're working, and they are semi retired, it doesn't hurt one bit to spend a bit lavishly for such an occasion. We had dinner at Crystal Jade @ Vivocity & damn did my eyes bulge when I received the bill! Lucky got my elder sis, Pris to share with me. Hahaha! You wouldn't wanna know the amount, but let's just put it as more than S$500. *gulps*

Anyways, I'm guessing his birthday wish is to strike 4D & TOTO (as with every other year... duh), so let's hope he gets lucky!!!

NEW TOY!!!

Woo!!!

I finally got my new toy, the HP 2133 mini-note PC yesterday!

After some frantic scrambling to get to the redemption booth at Funan centre, I was somewhat disappointed that there weren't not much people around. Damn it, shouldn't have woke up so early. We're like no.3 in the queue and got out with my new toy in less than 10mins.

Next, we went to get a new mouse. Wireless mouse was a tad too expensive at $39 bucks so we decided to get a normal one for less than $20.

I think I got to upgrade my ram from the current 1gb to 2gb. The current specs of the mini note is too slow for my liking. But the clear sound quality & resolution of the screen kind of make up for that deficiency in a sort of way. Or was it the new OS Home Vista that is causing the lag? Hmmm...

In case some of you guys don't know what it looks like, here it is...

Nice & small, fits right in your palm...NOT! But this is as close as it can gets!

If you like it, do check out starhub's current promotion for maxonline, if you sign up or recontract for 2 years you can stand to own this baby! While stocks last!

Travel hiho!

Se7en was deliciously good, Hostel was downright sick & Sweeny Todd was plain boring.

I'm will be living out of a suitcase the whole of this week.

I hope to get my HP mini-note tomorrow during lunch before flying off to KL.

On a side note, my gf keeps calling me "Po" recently. If I resembles that funny fat slob kungfu panda, I think malau will be (what else but) the monkey, lye heng can be master crane, jizheng can be viper, bob can be mantis, and doong... shit! no other fat characters around. If compare him to Tigress, its a bloody insult. Kungfu panda was a bloody funny movie and it certainly feels good to laugh yourself silly.

My GF is a small-time model!

How's my loyal blog fans doin'??? HAHA!

Long time never update ma blog cos' damn freaking busy recently. Lots of changes at work and politics rearing its ugly head at this once peaceful office. Wikkid! How very the exciting!

Anyways, had spent a lazy saturday afternoon with the gf today. Met her for lunch and then, we happened to walk by this little neighborhood shop selling ladies fashion wear. Her shopping habits are hard to kick, just like my worsening smoking habit now. Hehe.

I must admit, the clothes they sell here looks like those from reputable brands such as Zara, GG5, BYSI, BEBE... OH MY GOD! Did those shop names just roll off my tongue like a seasoned regular girly shopper?! What is manly hunky ah kiat turning into???! HAHAHA!!

And the best thing is, the clothes here are selling at a fraction of the price loh. Maybe they get from the same source but just because of a silly label, we don't expect to be paying a ransom for it right?? Aiyah, its a girl's thing. I won't understand either. As the gf was trying on some of the "new arrivals", the friendly shopowner lady then asked her whether she would like to model in it and being shot at, photos I mean. So that the shopowner can put her photos on the dressing mirror, alongside the many ladies, young and old, fat and thin that adorn the frames. Hehehe. Well, the gf was kinda surprised, and so was I, but she agreed subtly with a hint of satisfaction that yet another person finds her very attractive. Buay paiseh leh I tell her. Hehehe.

So there, a satisfied customer who got her spoils and a happy boss whose till was ringing in the money. Krr-Ching! Hehehe... She cannot complain the amount she spent, cos' she became a small time model in a neighborhood shop leh.

Wonder if we go back there got discount everytime or not? hmmm....

RTs BEGONE!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Victory is indeed sweet. Awesome fightback. Great comeback it was.

If you have absolutely no idea what I'm referring to, I don't blame you... cos' I finally passed my IPPT yesterday during my ICT!!! WOOOOooo!!!! AND BEST OF ALL, NO NEED FOR REMEDIAL TRAININGS (RTs) !!!!

Okok my results...

Situps: 40
SBJ: 212 cm
Pull-ups: 5
Shuttle run: 10.3 sec
2.4KM run: 12:16 min

In my opinion, the Kuantan trip & all its climbing & trekking definitely helps. Hotel gym workouts on business trips also played it part. And it all boils down to having the discipline to shed that sloppy and lazy mindset, and just put on that jogging shoes and go run. I hope I can maintain that discipline for a long long time to come.

Anyways, FYI, I will be in In-Camp-Training (ICT) from 12th May to 30th May 2008.

Just caught Ironman last night, I can only say this: "S-U-C-K-S"

Zhengji you bluff me you asshole!

Kuantan Bike Trip May 2008!

Enough about the monkey crap.

The Kuantan bike trip was finally confirmed after much hesitation from the gf. I had took the friday after Labour's day off on annual leave, and she had a wedding dinner to attend to on Saturday. Went about packing my stuffs only the night before I was supposed to set off on a 3 day 2 nights trip. I had even met up with the peeps from SIM for a dinner. Its been a while since we last caught up with each other.

As usual my practice with documenting the bike trip up north, I shall list the itinerary, even though there wasn't a concrete one initially.

Day 1 - 1st May 2008 (Thursday)

07:30 Set off from GP Esso with James; Lawrence was late.
08:30 Met up with PK at Yoon Lai restaurant in Kulai for breakfast.
10:00 Finally moved off to Kuantan after hearty meal of wanton noodles, chee cheong fun & lots of milo ice. (Including waiting for Lawrence on his kupchai)
12:30 Mersing stop for refuelling
13:30 Stop for mee goreng lunch just after entering Pahang state.
15:30 Reached Sungei Lembing, quaint little mining town that was to be our home for the next 2 days.
16:30 Hopped onto 2 bikes to go to Gua Charas, the limestone caves that house the reclining buddha
18:30 Done with exploring Gua Charas, went back to Sg.Lembing town for dinner at local kopithiam.
21:00 Sudden rain forced us to stay till 9 plus at the kopithiam. Relaxed with a pot of tea and chit chatting
00:30 Queuing up to take a shower before hitting the sack

Day 2 - 2nd May 2008 (Friday)

05:30 Woke up early to go to take a 4WD to the famous "rainbow waterfall"
06:15 Breakfast of Yong tau foo at the wet market.
06:45 Set off for our journey in search of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
07:15 Stop halfway at rest point for toilet break
07:45 Finally reached the river crossing point where everyone has to cross the waters
08:30 Treacherous trekking and bashing lead us finally to the famed "rainbow waterfall". What a sight to behold. Serious.
11:30 Frolicking in the waterfall, slurping a hot cup of noodles & making our ways back to the vehicle... going through the long & tiring trek all over again.
12:30 Reached home sweet home for a shower
15:00 Lunch was settled at a local kopithiam over toast bread, kuehs & milo ice.
15:30 Visited the Sg.Lembing tin mining museum & explore its rich history
16:00 Chill out by roadside stall for a drink under hot weather
16:15 Move off to Kuantan town - Cempedak beach
17:30 Reached destination for some photo taking & waiting for Lawrence to come
19:00 Decided to head off for dinner without Lawrence; still no reply
19:30 Reach some seafood restaurant specialising in ikan bakar but decided to head to nearby "Oldtown" coffee house instead.
21:00 Dinner was settled over local fare such as nasi rendang chicken & toast. Rain started falling, & Lawrence finally arrived, much to our relief.
21:30 Move off back to rest under the worst possible riding condition - wet roads, bad lightings, unfamiliar condition. Ride slowly is the key.
23:00 Finally reached home safe & sound. Experience gained a level!

Damn cool lah! Super poser right??

Day 3 - 3rd May 2008 (Saturday)

05:30 Woke up damn early to get to climbing the Bukit Panorama.
06:15 Reached the foot of the mountain & thus ascend up in relative darkness with only 1 torch to guide 3 of us.
07:00 Finally, the top of the world!!! Unbelievable view man! Wooo!!! Gasp in wonder & frantic photo taking.
08:30 Descent when the heat starts to get unbearable
09:00 Breakfast at wet market, we were all famished!
10:00 Some minor motorcycle maintainance at local bike shop.
10:30 Back to our bungalow for a shower & rest.
13:00 Checkout & chat with friendly owner (Singaporean) before starting journey back. Rain was threatening in the not too distant distance.
14:00 Midway, it rained haphazardly. Glad to have good riding gear & rain jackets on!
15:00 Due to heavy breakfast, decided to just have a quick snack while refuelling at Petronas fuel station
16:30 Reached Segamat for some heavy packed durian eating session
17:00 Set off for dinner at Gelang Patah, JB.
18:00 Lost PK along the way due to heavy traffic
18:45 Reunited with PK at Pagoh R&R.
19:30 Reached Tian Lai Seafood restaurant in GP, JB.
20:30 Dinner was eventually served ONE FREAKING HOUR later. But the food was good.
21:30 Set off on our way back to Singapore via Tuas 2nd link
23:00 Blk 134 Bedok Reservoir Rd - Home Sweet Home!

This trip was more interesting than the previous ride to Cameron. To me, it is more of a training boot camp than bike trip. Most of the time was spent climbing and trekking into forested areas, and also getting our feet wet and being chased after by disgusting leeches in the jungle! I can feel so much fitter already, IPPT should be a piece of cake now! Hahaha...

I'll leave you with this beautiful picture taken up above the "clouds", actually mist from the evaporation of morning dew of the forest below.

Nice right??

Flu virus season!

Wah damn sucky man, so many people kenna flu. Seems like the flu season is here already! I am increasingly looking to become the next victim by the hour. Somemore we have the dunno what hand, foot mouth disease affecting the si ginas of Singapore by the thousands to the extent the gahmen have to declare crisis already.

Finally, the Mas Selamat inquiry report on how the one legged hero actually escaped was published for all to see. No heads were rolled, maybe except the small fries'. Talk about taking responsibility! Pay so much tax money to feed these kind of people. Tamade all chi ta pian one!

Anyway, the biking kakis are planning a trip up to Kuantan, state of Pahang (east coast of Malaysia) over the long weekend that is labour day. So damn tempted to go man... somehow I just have to plan my time well before donning my armor jacket & testing my OGK FF5 full face helmet on the highways!

Joining the gf & her cousins later for a ktv session, followed by Daniu's super belated birthday treat at Geylang. FYI, his birthday was like more than 1 month ago. ROFL. Anyways, I won't miss it for the world. Doong still have the cheek to sms and say: "Wah lau kiat, i think the man utd vs chelsea match is shown around the same time leh"

".................................."

Come on, first time in 14 yrs since secondary school days leh!

My Trusty Honda Died On Me Today

The ride to makan place after every soccer session on sunday mornings started off bad enough. I was riding straight into the storm clouds gathering at furious pace as I entered into the TPE-SLE from Pasir Ris.

The sky began to open up which started off with trickles at first before suddenly turning into peltering raindrops. I had to seek the comfort of shelter under the overhead bridge at Bedok North Flyover when I cannot take the rain any longer.

Already half soaking wet, I got down from my bike & waited for the rain to stop. It was a good 20mins wait and my dear friends already started having hot steamy chicken rice at Katong mall. Upon seeing the rain lighten up, I tried to start my bike and voila! Crank, sputter and died! The ignition just won't start! Siao liao, must be the battery flat. I should have heed the warning signs few weeks back earlier. I figured I must have spent about 10min trying to revive the bike, but to no avail. The other bikers who were stranded together with me left one by one. So no choice, I called the guys up to inform that my bike died on me and I can't join them for lunch already. So after that, I called "Bikebulance" - a towing service. Lucky I saved the number just in case. So it came in handy afterall. Hehe.

I was quoted S$35 for tow services which I reluctantly had to accept after I tried calling up other biker friends for alternatives, but to no success. The guy who picked up the call told me to wait another half an hour.

Wah sipeh sian, stuck on PIE in the cold shivering rain, stomach hungry and almost wanted to faint already. I called the gf to let her know also, and chat with her to kill time. I also called the guys up to ask them to ta-pao some chicken rice for me and wait together with me until the bikebulance comes. So nobody gave a shit about me. So damn sad, my dear friends then entertained me for a few minutes talking crap. Deep inside, I really hope someone would come to accompany me and maybe ta-pao that very nice chicken rice for me. Seems that I was asking too much. Hahaha...

Anyways, long story cut short. Bikebulance came, loaded my bike & off we go to the only (?) bike shop that was open on sundays. There, I had my battery replaced for S$70 before I hopped onto my revived bike to look for food. It was almost 3:30pm. Hungry like a wolf man. Gobbled up everything before heading home for a nice shower!

Here are some pictures below... I thought it was pretty funny to see me "carrying" the bike, and not the other way round!

Crossroads of life

Suddenly I'm standing at the crossroads of life again... The same feeling I had when I flunked my 'A's & had nowhere to go with that shitty piece of result.

Only difference now is, I had a job which I think I like & I can stay, but recent results show otherwise. Or maybe I'm not cut out for my current job afterall.

I have to say, it was not entirely due to her that I began to think like this. In fact, she is slowly coming to understand my career objectives. I don't blame her. I blame the society we live in.

To begin with, I think my pay is shitty but I think I can still bear with it for a year or two.

But when you think about the future, with all the financial burdens that comes along with it, something inside your head tells you it is high time to move. Because if you can't even fulfill your basic needs, how can you even perform for the company?

Having said that, finding a new job with "good" pay seems to be the next logical step. But finding a job that combines both elements of good pay & interest is like trying to locate a needle in the haystack. Sure you can get lucky sometimes, but I'm not that blessed. In fact, most people work to live, not live to work. Who am I to argue against convention?

I have lost the initial drive I had when I first started out, but I will still put in my best. Because the experience I gain, nobody can take that away from me.

Trust me when I say sales is not easy to do, especially in my line of work where technical knowledge I had to learn from scratch without much help. Being in sales expose you to a lot of things business management textbooks don't teach you. You end up being bruised, but I'm sure I can come out of this a lot more streetwise & business-savvy, and can learn faster than people who grow up in a comfortable working environment where the only instruction you get is the only instruction you follow. One is one, and two... is obviously two.

Just follow law, they say.

Anyways, I'm still torn between finding a job I like & finding a high paying job. What if the new job which pays me good money but I don't like? What if the new job which I like but doesn't pay me good money? Wah this really sucks man.

Right now, my head is telling me to conform by societal norms. Most people work to live afterall, using the money they earn to pursue a "happier" life & fill up the black hole that is sucking their very life away. I once heard this phrase which I find it very interesting: "You spend your youth chasing money, but once you found money, you will spend your money chasing youth". Which perfectly explains why filthy rich grey haired senior citizens are buying themselves posh feraris & harley davidsons.

But hor, have you ever thought, if you don't start to chase money when you are young, how are you even going to spend it when you don't have anything to begin with?? Unless you are born a fucking useless "ah sia kia", that one don't say lah...

Now that's the oxymoron in life.

A walk in the clouds

The gf & I finally had a chance to go on a trip abroad. Okay not that far, Genting in Malaysia to be precise. Nonetheless, it was a first for us to travel abroad with each other.

The day started out with both of us waiting for the coach beady-eyed at 6am, most probably due to lack of sleep from the excitement of going overseas together.

As we reached Tuas 2nd link, was shocked to see the long, I mean really long line of trucks queuing to go into JB. Lucky for us, it didn't affect travellers like us on social visits. Customs (or Kastam, like my mum & dad always say) was a breeze despite all the big fuss about letting mas selamat got away (with a limp in his feet somemore) but maybe because it was not even 7am when we reached. But bloody big joke it was, I tell you. Wong will surely kenna kan seng. LOL.

First stop was Ayer Hitam. Different from the usual stop point at Yong Peng other bus companies would stop tourists for a break of half an hour to have their meals. The food there sucks, I mean really cannot make it type. Somemore damn expensive. I had prata that costs twice as much compared to Singapore but didn't taste half as nice, and the gf had noodle soup which was so bland that I have to literally empty the soy sauce to get some taste. Disappointed, we went back to the coach clutching some comfort food from the mini-mart to tide us through another 4 hrs of journey. The gf couldn't sleep on the coach, or so she claims. But heck, I could sleep anywhere. Heh.

Just before ascent into Genting highlands, we were let out for a pee break. Due to the long queue of women waiting to go relieve themselves, some very daring Chinese aunties I must say, cheong into the guy's toilet to do their business. Wah muslim country still dare do such a thing, I thought to myself. I was thinking what might happen if they get caught by religious polis? Actually in the first place, is it a crime or not? As I was about to enter the toilet after them, I was half expecting to see them peeing against the wall like Bridget Jones in the similar titled movie "Bridget Jones' diary". When I found out otherwise, I don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved. Haha.

Mr.Energizer does a Borat thumbs up!

As we meandered round the nice roads of genting, we finally reached the peak. Ok lah, not that cold. Maybe still can "tong" in the open air wearing singlet & burms. We proceed to the reception to get our room keys. "Deluxe" room we remembered. "Deluxe" room we did not get. It was on the first floor. About the size of normal NTUC, I mean now is called downtown east chalets. Worse thing is, our outside view was staring opposite a rust-filled ventilator located in a narrow alleyway with scant light scampering in. Wah look already is really sian half. So the gf pulls a long face & worked up a storm, we went back to complain... & we got an "upgraded" room which was really the same room but located on 16th floor with a much better view of the vegetation that surrounds genting city! Better than nothing lah.

Me looking very happy with my hotel (First World Hotel;background)

So first day was spent walking around the vicinity of First World hotel. Followed by free buffet dinner at the hotel cafe. Not bad actually, the spread of food. Or maybe was it due to the sucky food back in Ayer Hitam? Anyways... wanted to go casino after dinner one. But who was to know a short rest back in hotel room turned out to be a satisfying sleep well into 9 the next morning? Crap, people go holiday is make full use of time one, but we go holiday is go sleep like pigs. How can??

Day 2 thus began with a flurry of activities, started with hearty breakfast of I-forgot-what. I went to Starbucks to work with my laptop for about an hour and the gf was very obedient to stay there and read magazines quietly. After that, we bought a day pass to the amusement park to try to relieve our childhood memories. Took on some challenging rides and in some instances, either the ride was too scary (the free drop) or they have a weight restriction (not more than 70kgs). Tamade! Discrimination against fat, I mean big boned people like me!

Ah kiat was screaming like a little girl playing this.

After all the excitement & exhilaration, we tested our guts further by taking the scary cable car ride down to Genting midway point.

The auntie behind us just stared intently in front of her, too scared to even make a sound that might rattle the cable car that would send us plunging 400m into the ravines below.

Then we walked past a horse ranch searching for hot pippin' steamboat but ended up smelling horse shit & urine. It was nowhere to be found, so damn far down the road lor!!! We made a U-turn back to the cable car terminal for the return back to the peak. On the way, I told the gf that a stallion's penis is damn long & only the elephant can beat that. The elephant's penis when erect, is so damn bloody long that it has to literally drag that schlong along. I saw it on discovery channel. :D

Nightime came, we do not want to miss the chance to try our luck at the gambling dens. After observing a few tables, we settle down for the roulette. I paid for 100 ringgit in chips, followed by the gf who followed me. In the end, I coughed out another 100 trying to recoup my losses, but the gf got lucky and won 140. After that, she went shopping big time. A skirt & a top at Mango, plus a handbag at Padini's. She was very kind to even offer to treat me supper. Bah!

Ahhh... we realised it was getting late, and was the last night before we need to make our way back to Singapore. It is exactly the same feeling you get on sunday night. Haha. But lucky still got sunday to go before its back to the drudgery of work!

Last day in Genting was spent with buffet breakfast at hotel cafe. The food I must say, is pretty good, with a wide selection of stuffs. The 2 uncles sitting behind us, attacked the steam buns (tao sar paos) by the dozens. The gf & I figured, those plates they carry can hold enough paos to fill my stomach for the rest of the day. And the funny thing is, all they had on their table was paos, paos, and more paos!!! WTF?! And there was this fat bastard who stole an entire plate of omelette right under my nose, then he gave me a cheeky smile before he retreated happily with his spoils of war. Nabeh, so fat also don't wanna give me some. These bloody kiasu people, behaving like hungry ghosts, dunno whether they know the word "paiseh" or not.

As the time nears to 3pm, we reluctantly made our way down to the bus terminal. Posed for some more pictures before we headed back to Singapore with a heavy heart.

Malaysia conquered for her, on to the next! Bintan or Bali? Hmmm...

Money can buy you love?

Why is it when everytime people talk about my pay, she must compare me with other people?

Am I not earning a decent salary, albeit lower than others?

Am I not actively searching for a new job, albeit giving up what I do well to start all over again, just because I want to settle down with her faster?

Am I not doing all this for her? If not, who else?

How do you judge whether a person is always on a road to self progression?

How do you judge whether how successful a person is?

And finally, how do you judge love?

By how much you earn.

Yes ladies & gentlemen, the cold hard truth is out.

Die-hard romantics do not have a place in today's society.

At times like this, I just wanna take my bike on a loonnngg ride to nowhere. Just me & my trusty honda-kun.

So there you go, it's a materialistic world out there & if J.Lo is saying love don't cost a thing... she can suck my chocolate salty balls man!!! It costs everything!!!
